Stairs

Five meters, 325 steps, 40 sculptures.

I wanted to create stairs, I wanted to weld, and I wanted to collaborate with SunnySideUp.

The 325 3D-printed steps, seemingly floating in the air, are delicately supported by an invisible steel structure, which serves to enhance the illusion of weightlessness. The path draws the viewer upward, physically and metaphorically, as if ascending towards something beyond the tangible world.

The collaboration with SunnySideUp brings a unique interplay of craftsmanship and contemplation. Each of the 40 sculptures marks a point of reflection along the way, encouraging moments of pause and introspection. The steps, though modern in their fabrication, seamlessly integrate into the ancient surroundings, creating a dialogue between the sacred space and the contemporary vision.

Here, movement becomes a meditation.
